Summer’s better with BBQs and new friends!

Join one of our summer BBQs and make the most of an easy, relaxed way to connect with others in our church family. It’s a simple chance to share good food, meet new people, strengthen friendships, and feel part of a warm, welcoming community. Whether you’re new, curious, or simply keen for a great afternoon, choosing a BBQ to attend is a fun way to grow deeper roots and enjoy the season together.

  • Fudge and Ally are so happy to open their home for a dinner time BBQ. The space is appropriate for adults, and teenagers are welcome to attend with their parents.

  • BYO meat, Fudge and Ally will take care of the rest!

  • Lisa and Dave invite you to join them in Hut 4 at Dru Point Margate for a BYO BBQ. There is a great playground for children, you might like to even bring their bikes/scooters/rollerblades

  • Rod and Bec invite you to a catered BBQ dinner at their farm in Forcett. Come see the animals. The BBQ will continue into the evening with fire pits and hanging out!

  • You can bring a salad or a plate if you like (not required) and they will provide the meat from their farm!

    Please BYO a camping chair!

  • Go to the 10am service then hang out with Travis, Amy and their 2 boys at the Kangaroo Bay Parklands. It will be a relaxed, family-friendly BBQ at the playground where kids can play while adults enjoy easy conversation. It’s a simple, fun way to connect and enjoy the afternoon together.

  • BYO food and drinks for either a BBQ or a picnic.

TOM’S HOUSE
FERN TREE

3:00PM FOR AN EARLY DINNER

  • Join Tom and his 3 primary school aged children for a BBQ on the deck .

    Tom says:
    “I will provide meat (likely combination of BBQ/smoking/spit), but if people could bring snacks, sides or salad to share as well as some adult and/or kid drinks it would be very helpful. We will be outdoors at my place, on the deck. Fern Tree can have any weather so bring a hat and jacket. I'll probably light a fire pot and have the spa on offer too if you want to bring swimmers. There is a big, fenced backyard for kids to run around freely. Arrive at 3.00pm for a relaxed afternoon beverage and snacks with dinner early enough for those with kids.

    Parking can be a little tight in Fern Tree, so people should be aware that in addition to 4 spaces on my property, there are spaces both up and down the street, but not immediately outside. There is plenty of parking at Westringa Park for those happy to walk 150m up the road.

  • BYO salads, snacks and drinks.

TOLOSA PARK, (HUT 16, NAMED STRINGYBARK)

  • Enjoy the grounds of the recently redeveloped Tolosa Park in Glenorchy. There’s a playground, walking tracks through the dams, bush to explore. Come for a relaxed BBQ.

  • BYO food and drinks for a BBQ or picnic food if you prefer.

    You can also bring sporting equipment or anything else that takes your fancy!

LONG BEACH RESERVE PLAYGROUND
SANDY BAY
SUNDAY 1ST FEBRUARY

Suitable for everyone & family friendly!

  • Join Sylvia & Rob and their kids for a late Sunday afternoon play (or swim!) and BBQ at the Sandy Bay Long Beach Reserve (inside the playground).

    The playground is fenced and is a great space for little kids and also older ones!

    The beach is also great for swimming.

  • BYO what you need for a BBQ or picnic. Swimmers for the beach if you would like!

    (BBQ tongs etc are a good idea).

RICHARD & KATHERINE’S PLACE

  • Join Richard and Katherine at a BBQ at their house, perfect for families of younger children.

    Bring bathers if you’d like to use the pool.
