Safe Night Space

Providing dignity by upgrading living and sleeping spaces

Saturday 20th September
9am-3pm, in Hobart City

PROJECT OPEN

About this project:

The Safe Space program is run by Hobart City Mission and is a safe 24 hour service for people who are experiencing homelessness in Hobart.

With over 1,600 people experiencing homelessness on any given night, the problem is large and challenging. We have a regular C3 Cares Team who visit Safe Space once a month to feed and talk to those staying the night.

We will be helping by doing some needed upgrades including building new timber bed frames with mattresses and privacy screens, refurbishing the kitchen, painting a bathroom, building new outdoor bench seating and updating the décor throughout.

Special skills: tradies and any willing hands welcome!

Suitable for: Age 12+
