Risdon Prison

About this project:

We’ve been developing a long term relationship with Ron Barwick Prison, with our prison team regularly visiting and providing meals for the inmates.

This project includes refurbishing the main visitor & family areas with fresh paint, artwork, children’s toys, along with outdoor upgrades like a new deck, garden refresh, pressure washing and updating garden planter boxes. We'll also serve lunch to 300 inmates. The day involves working alongside some of the prisoners, offering a chance to build meaningful connections.

Men and women (18+) are both welcome, and all volunteers will need to complete a criminal background check. Spots are limited.
