MRC Team
The Migrant Resource Centre provides support and accommodation for refugees and migrants when they first arrive in Hobart. Refugees often arrive in Hobart with nothing but a small bag of personal items and have to make a new life in a foreign country.
OUR TEAM: Visits this site in order to build meaningful connections with the residents. They mostly do some maintenance of the site, teaching them a skill, speaking with them to help them practice their English, cooking or eating together,
WHO: Males and females over the age of 18, and would need to have a WWVP Card and a police check done. You also need to have been attending our church regularly for about a year.
WHEN & WHERE: In the Goodwood area. Saturdays once a month.
