But To Serve

But To Serve is an annual weekend where we get into our community and serve various non-profit organisations, meeting the needs of those around us, and sharing the love of Jesus! Since its launch we’ve hosted dozens of projects every year right across the greater Hobart region, with hundreds of volunteers giving their time to serve our community.

The name But To Serve comes from the scripture in Matthew 20:28, "For even the Son of Man (Jesus), did not come to be served, but to serve."

Save the date! More details about this years’ projects and how to get involved will be released closer to the date.

Our Groups provide opportunities to develop relationships midweek, to have fun, to walk the journey together and to grow in our relationships with Jesus.

We have 3 types of Groups: Bible Studies, Short Courses and Social Groups.
Most of our Groups start in late March and operate through until about October (except for Courses).

You might like to choose a Bible Study and a Social Group to join!

We are modern in practice.
Traditional in belief.

We are a Christian church that is modern in practice and traditional in belief. C3 Church is an international movement of local churches characterised by bright, enthusiastic, culturally relevant services with a message of faith, hope and love.

Our vision is to “Reach people on a journey to faith and to Build strong followers of Christ”.  Or simply put, to “Reach and Build people”.

We are one church in two locations. In South Hobart, we have our own building where we also operate the Rivulet Café and the C3 Convention Centre. In the Huon Valley, we meet at the Soldiers Memorial Hall in Ranelagh.

ALPHA

EXPLORE LIFE, FAITH AND MEANING

The Alpha Course is designed to engage people from all walks of life and inspire conversation. It explores the big issues of life and faith and unpack the basics of Christian belief, addressing questions like “Who is Jesus?”, “Why and how do I pray?” and “How does God guide us?”

NEW COURSES STARTING EARLY SEPTEMBER

Growing Gatherings in Sierra Leone

John and Mavis Kamara, founders of Kamara’s Heart Foundation, established a school in the small village of Kondolo in Rokel, Sierra Leone. What began as a vision to educate local children has now grown into a thriving school serving over 300 students.

C3 Beyond has been a longstanding supporter of Kamara’s Heart, and in late 2024, a C3 Church was officially planted on the school grounds.

These gatherings initially brought together new believers who encountered Jesus through Kamara’s Heart’s feeding programs during Christmas and Easter. The congregation is being pastored by Eddie Kamara, John’s cousin, who began leading regular Friday night services in 2025. Already, between 25 to 50 people are attending these gatherings, and the community continues to grow.

C3 Beyond is honoured to partner with the Kamara family in this mission, and we look forward to witnessing how this church will expand and further impact the community for Christ.

Join C3 Beyond Worship on Spotify

Worship is more than music—it’s our heartfelt response to who God is.

C3 Beyond Worship is the sound of our local church community, expressing our love for Jesus and our desire to see lives transformed. We believe worship strengthens our relationship with God, builds His Church, and creates space for the Holy Spirit to move in power.
